Is it illegal to alter my mileage?
Adjusting a vehicles digital speedometer is not illegal, it becomes an offence if the vehicle is sold on to the buyer without disclosing the correction in the speedo reading to the buyer. It is unlawful in some jurisdictions to reset odometers to read less than the true actual mileage on the motor vehicle.
